Dear Family and Community of St. Louis of France: We write this letter to wish you all from our heart a very
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021.
It has been a challenge for all of us to go through this time that no one had ever expected; this pandemic has shaken us all. Ideally, for us as believers in God, this time has challenged us to reflect upon where we are in our life with God, whether and how much we are building on our lives on sand or on rock. This time helps us to remember the reality that we are only here temporarily in this world, and so we ought to not worry about amassing treasures in Heaven for this world, but instead think of how we can obtain treasures in Heaven as our Lord Jesus teaches us by good works: works of love and charity are what will remain and will be worth all our efforts and time when our Lord calls us to leave this world. Good works made from love of God and neighbor will help us to be well prepared to enter the eternal Kingdom. Despite the pandemic, thanks be to God we continue having access to the Sacraments and always to prayer, which are fundamentals of spiritual nutrition for our souls. We hope that we will be able to continue as we are and hopefully soon return back completely to normal, but hopefully even better than before, more purified and sanctified and having grown more deeply in our faith, for our own good and hopefully for many others. Let us stay in contact, and we invite you to please keep taking home the bulletins or staying in touch by following us on our parish website, as we also strive to continue supporting the parish financially as well for the maintenance of our church. We thank you all from our hearts for all your support and constant generosity.
